Dating Congressman ng Caloocan, sinampahan ng kaso dahil sa PDAF scam
Nahaharap sa mga kasong kriminal si dating 2nd District Representative Mari Mitzi Cajayon dahil sa umanoy kaugnayan nito sa Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) scam.
Nakakita ang Office of the Ombudsman ng probable cause laban kay Cajayon at sinampahan ng two counts ng paglabag sa Section 3(e) ng Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act o ang Republic Act No. 3019, isang count ng Malversation at isang count ng Malversation thru Falsification of Public Documents.
Inutos din ng Ombudsman na sampahan ng kaso ang mga umanoy co-conspirators ng dating mambabatas na sina dating DSWD Secretary Esperanza Cabral, Undersecretary Mateo Montaño, Assistant Secretary Vilma Cabrera, Chief Accountant Leonila Hayahay, Assistant Director Pacita Sarino at Cenon Mayor ng Kaloocan Assistance Council, Inc. (KACI).
Napag-alaman ng mga imbestigador mula sa Ombudsman na noong taong 2009 ay personal na inendorso ni Cajayon ang implemenstayon ng kanyang PDAF-funded na Comprehensive Integrated Delivery of Social Services (CIDSS) program sa KACI.
Kaugnay nito, ay nagpalabas ang Department of Budget and Management ng P10 million pesos sa DSWD noong April 13, 2009 dahil ito ang napili ng mambabatas na maging implementing agency.
Basa sa field validation ng Ombudsman ay kanilang napag-alaman na ang proyekto ni Cajayon ay mga kahina-hinala at makukunsiderang mga ghost projects.
