500 kilo ng karne mula sa Brazil nagpositibo sa bacteria

Nagpositibo sa salmonella ang halos 500 kilo ng imported na karne mula sa Brazil ayon sa Department of Agriculture.

Ang salmonella ay isang uri ng bacteria na maaaring pagmulan ng food poisoning.

Ayon sa Bureau of Animal Industry ng D.A, sa 162,000 kilos na karne ng baka at 336,000 kilos na mechanically de-boned meat na binili sa Brazil noong May 10 hanggang June 20, 498 kilos nito ang nahawaan ng salmonella.

Sinabi ng Department of Agriculture na itinigil na nila ang pag-iisyu ng permits sa walong kumpanya na nag-iimport ng nasabing mga karne.

Noong nakaraang Hunyo, nagpatupad ng ban ang US sa sariwang karne ng baka mula sa Brazil makaraang hindi pumasa sa sanitary insfection ang importation.

Itinuturing na pinaka-malaking beef exporter sa buong mundo ang bansang Brazil.
