‘Walang pinoy na nasugatan sa aksidente sa Times Square’ -DFA
Walang Pilipino na nasugatan o nadamay sa pag-araro ng isang kotse sa New York Times Square na sikat na tourist destination sa Manhattan.
Isa ang namatay at mahigit dalawampu ang nasugatan sa insidente na hindi itinuturing na terorismo ng mga otoridad.
Ayon sa Department of Foreign Affairs, ang impormasyon na walang kasamang Pinoy sa insidente ay mula sa Consulate General ng bansa sa New York.
Sa isang pahayag ay sinabi ng DFA na nakikipag-ugnayan ang consulate general sa mga otoridad sa New York at handa itong tumulong sakaling may naapektuhang Pinoy.
Ayon sa ulat, inararo ng isang Honda sedan ang mga pedestrian sa sidewalk saka ito tumama sa poste sa kanto ng 45th Street at Broadway.
