Drug charges ni Col. Marcelino, iniatras ng DOJ

marcelino1Iniatras ng Department of Justice ang 380 million pesos drug case na isinampa nito laban kay Intelligence Office Marine Lt. Col. Ferdinand Marcelino at kasama nitong chinese na si Yan Yi Shou.

Sa 13-page resolution na pirmado ni DOJ Undersecretary Delo Marco, pinagtibay ang May 23, 2016 resolution ni Senior Deputy State Prosecutor Theodore Villanueva.

Nakasaad sa resolusyon ni Villanueva na hindi sapat ang ebidensya na iprinisinta ng Philippine National Police at Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency para kasuhan sina Marcelino at Yan sa korte.

Binaligtad ng bagong DOJ resolution ang September 2016 ruling ng ahensya na nagsabing may ebidensya para litisin ang dalawa dahil sa paglabag sa Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act for possession of illegal drugs.

Naaresto sina Marcelino at Yan sa buy bust operation sa Felix Huertas Street sa Maynila noong January 21, 2016.

Nakumpiska umano sa dalawa ang mahigit 76,000 grams ng shabu na nagkakahalaga ng 380 million pesos.

Una nang iginiit ni Marcelino na inosente siya dahil nasa lugar umano siya para sa surveillance operation kasama ang asset na si Yan.

Nakalaya si Marcelino matapos pagbigyan ng Quezon City Regional Trial Court ang petition for bail nito.
