Pagbasura sa impeachment complaint vs Duterte, inasahan na ng Malacañang
Hindi na ikinagulat ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang ang pagkakabasura sa impeachment complaint na inihain ni Magdalo Partylist Rep. Gary Alejano laban kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Paliwanag ni Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo, noon pa man kumpiyansa na ang Palasyo na hindi makararating sa first base ang reklamo dahil naka angkla lamang ang impeachment sa hearsay o chismis.
“As I have repeatedly said in my interviews, the impeachment complaint will not reach first base because the allegations are based on hearsay,” ani Panelo.
Iginiit pa ni Panelo na puro kasinungalingan lang ang laman ng impeachment.
Wala aniyang ibang layunin ang impeachment ni Alejano kundi siraan lamang ang reputasyon ng pangulo at makakuha ng libreng publicity para sumikat.
“Others are outright false. The complaint is intended to besmirch the reputation of PRRD and to get the three minute of fame of the complainant,” dagdad pa ni Panelo.
Naging grounds sa labing anim na pahinang impeachment ni Alejano laban sa pangulo ang Culpable Violation of the Constitution, Engaging in Bribery, Betrayal of public trust, Graft and corruption at iba pang high crimes.
