Mga priority bills, tutukuyin sa pagbabalik-sesyon ng Senado at Kamara

congress1Magpupulong ngayong araw, May 2 ang mga lider ng Senado at Kamara ngayong 17th Congress upang talakayin ang mga legislative agenda ng dalawang kapulungan.

Ayon kay House Majority Leader Rodolfo Fariñas, tutukuyin ng mga lider kung alin sa mga panukalang batas na nakalista sa priority measures ang nararapat na unahing ipasa.

Ang Kongreso ay magbabalik-sesyon bukas mula sa kanilang mahigit isang buwang bakasyon, habang inaasahan na magsi-sine die adjournment sa June 03 hanggang July 23.

Kabilang sa 39 bills na nasa legislatives priorities ngayong 17th Congress ay ang: Charter Change tungo sa Federalism; Government Procurement Reform Act amendments; Social Security Act amendments; Income Tax Reform Act; at Traffic and Congestion Crisis Act.

Maliban dito, kasama rin ang mga panukalang Estate Tax Reform Act; Corporation Code of the Philippines; End of Contractualization Act; Department of Housing and Urban Development Act; Free Irrigation Services Act; at mas mabigat na parusa sa mga lalabag sa minimum wage laws.

Pasok din sa listahan ang Free Internet Access in Public Place Act; Anti-Hazing law amendments; Criminal Investigation Act; Anti-Discrimination Act; Expand Coverage of Local Absentee Voting Act; Free school feeding/ pagkaing pinoy para sa Batang Pinoy Act; Free Higher Education Act; Philippine Passport Act amendments; National ID System; Extension of Driver’s License Validity; at marami pang iba.
