Mga atleta sa Palarong Pambansa kakausapin ni Duterte

Pangungunahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa pagbubukas bukas ng Palarong Pambansa sa lalawigan ng Antique.

Nauna nang sinabi ng pangulo na gusto niyang personal na makaharap ang mga manlalaro ng bansa dahil mayroon siyang importanteng mensahe na sasabihin para sa kanina.

Ayon kay Department of Education Assistant Secretary Tonisito Umali, sa ngayon unti-unti nang dumadagda sa Antique ang mga delegado na kalahok sa nasabingtauhang sporting events.

Sinabi pa ni Umali na siya ring Secretary General ng Palarong Pambansa na aabot sa libu-libo ang mga makikilahok sa timpalak sa taong ito.

Si Education Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones ang mangunguna sa opening ceremony bukas April 23.

Kabilang sa mga larong kasama sa  Palarong Pambansa ang arnis, athletics, badminton, baseball, basketball, chess, football, gymnastics, sepak takraw, softball, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis at volleyball.

Bagong makakasama naman sa sports events ngayong taon ang wushu, wrestling, futsal at billiards.

Matatapos ang Palarong Pambansa sa April 29.
