CGMA, sisipain bilang deputy speaker ng Kamara dahil sa pagiging anti-death penalty

CGMA1Napipintong sipain si Pampanga Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo bilang deputy speaker ngayong 17th Congress dahil sa pagkontra nito sa panukalang buhayin ang parusang kamatayan o Death Penalty bill.

Sa isang pulong balitaan, sinabi ni House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez na papalitan si Arroyo dahil sa posisyon nito na tumutol sa kontrobersyal na panukala.

Hindi pa raw niya nakakausap si CGMA hinggil dito, pero inatasan na niya si House Majority Leader Rodolfo Fariñas na kausapin ang dating pangulo.

Inaasahan na ganito rin ang kapalaran ng iba pang deputy speakers at committee chairmen na anti-Death Penalty bill.

Ayon kay Alvarez, hindi siya nagbabanta kundi talagang tototohanin niya ang pag-alis sa mga House leaders at supermajority members na hindi kakatig sa panukala.

Paninindigan ni Alvarez, leadership policy ito at masyadong awkward kung kasama pa rin sa leadership ng Kapulungan kung hindi naman sumasama sa gusto ng liderato.
