DOLE, nagbigay paalala sa mga Filipino workers kaugnay sa medical screening

dole-logoHinikayat ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) ang mga manggagawang Pilipino na siguruhing dumaan sa tamang medical screening bago umalis ng bansa.

Ito ang naging paalala ni Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III matapos pabalikin ng Jordan Health Ministry ang apat na raaang manggagawa bunsod ng iba’t ibang komplikasyon sa kalusugan.

Sa inilabas na pahayag nito, mahalaga aniyang dumaan sa mabusising medical check-up mula sa Department of Health (DOH)-accredited hospitals upang maiwasan ang mga ganitong pagkakataon.

Batay sa babala ng Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), lumabas sa Jordan health ministry report na aabot sa 185 ang bilang foreign workers na may hepatitis B habang 149 naman ang may tuberculosis at 66 ang nagpositibo sa HIV/AIDS.

Sa ngayon, sumasailalim ang 14,633 Filipino workers sa medical examination kung saan 35 dito ay lumabas na may tuberculosis habang 27 naman ang may hepatitis B.
