NDF at mga militanteng grupo naniniwala pa rin na uusad ng peace process

Umaasa ang National Democratric Front of the Philippines (NDFP) na magpapatuloy ang usapang kapaypaan sa kabila ng pagbawi ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa unilateral ceasefire sa mga komunistang rebelde.

Ipinahayag ni NDFP peace panel chair Fidel Agcaoili na bago matapos ang 2017, maihahanda na ng NDFP at ng gobyerno ang socio-economic, political at constitutional reforms.

Nanawagan din ang Bagong Alyansang Makabayan at Bayan Muna sa magkabilang panig na patuloy na talakayin ito para sa sambayanang Pilipino tungo sa kapayapaan.

Noong February 1, inanunsyo ni Jorge “Ka Oris” Madlos, tagapagsalita ng New People’s Army ang lifting ng unilateral ceasefire simula February 10.

Binawi na rin ni Pangulong Duterte ang unilateral ceasefire sa panig ng gobyerno epektibo noong February 3.

Nauna na ring ipinahayag ng Malacañang na bukas pa rin ito sa pakikipag-usap sa Communist Party of the Philippines – New People’s Army – NDFP tungo sa kapayapaan.
