Fil-Am, bagong Assistant Press Secretary ng White House

Itinalaga bilang Assistant Press Secretary ng White House ang Filipino-American na si Ninio Fetalvo.

Sa isang ulat na inilabas ng Asian Journal, kinausap ni White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer si Fetalvo at inalok ang posisyon noong nakaraang January 20.

Pero bago ang kanyang appointment, si Fetalvo at nagsilbi na bilang Deputy Director ng Strategic Media ng 58th Presidential Inaugural Committee na siyang nangasiwa sa inagurasyon ni US Pres. Donald Trump.

Bukod pa dito, nabatid din na iba’t ibang posisyon ang hinawakan ni Fetalvo sa Republican National Committee (RNC), kabilang na ang Asian Pacific American Press Secretary, Florida Communications Director at Deputy Director of Media Affairs ng 2016 Republican National Convention.

Si Spicer na nag-alok sa kanya ng bagong posisyon ay dating boss ni Fetalvo sa RNC.

Bilang Assistant Press Secretary, tungkulin ni Fetalvo ang hawakan ang mga isyung may kaugnayan sa labor, education, transportation at veterans affairs.

Sa isang panayam, sinabi ni Fetalvo na isang karangalan ang makapaglingkod sa ngalan ng kanyang bansang Pilipinas sa Estados Unidos.

Si Fetalvo ay anak ng isang Filipino immigrant mula Bicol at nakatapos ang pag-aaral sa George Washington University na may kursong political communication.
