Paunang paghahanda para sa 2017 Asean Summit inilatag na ng gobyerno

Asean 50Puspusan na ang paghahanda para sa January 15 kung saan ay pormal nang ilulunsad ang ASEAN 2017 sa Davao City.

Kasabay nito, inilatag na ng Malacañang ang anim na priority agenda na pag-uusapan sa Asean Summit.

Ayon kay Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, bahagi ng paghahanda ang ilang mga isyu na nakatutok sa maritime security and cooperation, peace and stability, inclusive growth, ASEAN model for regionalism at disaster resiliency.

Sinabi naman ni Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Enrique Manalo na kabilang sa mga topics sa ASEAN meetings ay ang issue sa disputed areas sa West Philippines Sea.

Ayon kay Manalo, target sa Asean Summit na makabuo ng code of conduct na magiging gabay ng Pilipinas, China at iba pang mga claimant countries.

Target aniyang matapos ang code of conduct bago matapos ang taong ito.

Nauna nang sinabi ng Philippine National Police at Armed Forces of the Philippines na gagawa sila ng master plan para sa ilalatag na seguridad sa nasabing event.
