6 na RTC judges, pasok sa shortlist para sa posisyon sa Court of Appeals
Nakapasok ang anim na Regional Trial Court (RTC) judges sa ginawang shortlist ng Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) para sa nabakanteng posisyon sa Court of Appeals (CA).
Nag-retiro na kasi noong simula ng Disyembre si Associate Justice Agnes Reyes-Carpio mula sa CA, dahil naabot na niya ang mandatory retirement age para sa hukom na 70 taong gulang.
Sa naturang anim na hukom na nasa shortlist, nakakuha ng limang boto sina Iligan RTC Judge Anisah Amanodin-Umpa; Taguig RTC Judge Louis Acosta; Las Piñas RTC Judge Joselito Vibandor na nakakuha rin ng limang boto; Quezon City RTC Judge Mary Angelene Quimpo Sale at Cagayan de Oro RTC Judge Jeoggrey Acebido.
Nakakuha naman ng apat na boto si Pasig RTC Judge Danilo Cruz.
Si Carpio ay asawa ng kapatid ni Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales, at biyenan ng anak ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na si Mayor Sara Duterte.
