Marine Col. Marcelino ipinapaaresto na kaugnay sa iligal na droga

Ipinag-utos ng Manila Regional Trial Court (RTC) ang pag-aresto kay Marine Lt. Col. Ferdinand Marcelino at co-accused na Chinese national na si Yan Yi Shou.

Ito ay kasunod ng dismissal ng drug charges laban kina Marcelino at Shou na inihain ng Department of Justice.

Inakusahan ng DOJ sina Marcelino at Shou ng paglabag sa Section 11 o Possession of Dangerous drugs at Article 2 ng Republic Act No. 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Naghain ng kasong may kinalaman sa iligal na droga ang DOJ laban sa dalawa noong September 21.

Sa inilabas na ruling, sinabi ni Presiding Judge Daniel Villanueva ng Manila RTC Branch 49 na nakakita sila ng probable cause laban kay Marcelino at Shou.

Ibinasura din ng Manila RTC Branch 49 ang Omnibus Motion ng dalawa.

Una nang pinigil ng Manila RTC Branch 17 sa pamamagitan ni Judge Felicitas Laron-Cacanindin ang paglalabas ng warrant laban kay Marcelino at pag-postpone ng kanyang arraignment noong September 26.

Naaresto si Marcelino na dating Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency agent at si Shou sa drug raid na isinagawa sa isang bahay sa Sampaloc, Maynila noong nakalipas na Enero.

Nasamsam sa kanila ang aabot sa P380 million na halaga ng shabu.
