JBC may shortlist na para sa mababakanteng pwesto sa Korte Suprema
Limang pangalan ang napili ng Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) na isusumite kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para pagpilian nito sa itatalaga sa dalawang mababakanteng pwesto sa Korte Suprema.
Ang botohan na ginawa ng JBC ay para sa pwestong babakantehin ni Associate Justice Jose Perez.
Sa isinagawang botohan, pasok sa shortlist ang apat na mahistrado ng Court of Appeals at isang mahistrado ng Sandiganbayan.
Si Justice Jose Reyes ay nakakuha ng pitong boto, tigli-limang boto naman ang nakuha nina Justices Japar Dimaampao, Apolinario Bruselas at Samuel Martires, habang apat ang boto na nakuha ni Justice Samuel Martires.
Sa December 9, muling magsasagawa ng deliberasyon ang JBC para sa shortlist ng papalit naman sa magreretirong si Associate Justice Arturo Brion.
