Ibinunyag ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na konektado sa grupong Islamic State of Iraq and Syria o ISIS ang Maute group na ngayon ay kumubkob sa abandonanong munisipyo ng Butig sa Lanao del Sur.
Ginawa ng pangulo ang pahayag sa inagurasyon ng 135 megawatt circulating fluidized bed combustion power plant.
Ayon sa pangulo, nakuha niya ang naturang impormasyon sa intelligence community.
“Finally, the intelligence community advised me that ISIS is connected to the group in the PHl called Maute,” pahayag ni Duterte.
