Hindi sangkot si dating Pangulong Aquino sa drug trade-De Lima
Itinanggi ni Senator Leila de Lima ang akusasyon ni Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Vitiliano Aguirre II na may mas mataas pang opisyal kay Sen. Leila de Lima na tumatanggap ng drug money noong panahon ng Aquino administration.
Sinabi ni De Lima na malinaw naman sa pahayag ni Aguirre na si dating Pangulong Benigno Aquino III ang tinutukoy niyang opisyal.
Ani De Lima, bilang miyembro siya noon ng gabinete, si Aquino ang mas mataas na opisyal sa kaniya.
“Sino pa ang official na yellow na mas mataas sa akin noon, nung secretary of Justice ako? I was an alter ego of the President. Are they saying that it’s the [former] president who is a beneficiary of these things?,” tanong ni De Lima sa ipinatawag nitong press conference.
Ayon kay De Lima, imposibleng sangkot si dating Pangulong Aquino sa isyu.
Tinawag pa nitong “very outrageous” at “laughable” ang akusasyon ni Aguirre.
