Gobernador ng Bukidnon, sinuspinde ng Ombudsman

conchita-carpio-moralesIpinag-utos ni Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales ang anim na buwan na suspensyon ni Bukidnon Governor Jose Ma. Zubiri, Jr.

Dahil ito sa kasong Grave Abuse of Authority amounting to Oppression at paglabag sa Section 5(a) ng Code of Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (Republic Act No. 6713).

Patungkol ang kaso sa pagtanggi ni Zubiri na pirmahan ang clearance at hindi pag-aksyon sa request for commutation ni Carlos Ycaro, ang dating Provincial Assessor dahil umano sa nawawala pa ring mga upuan na hindi pa nito naibabalik.

Pero ayon sa Ombudsman, hindi ito isang valid excuse lalo’t meron pa itong 300 araw ng commutable leave credits.

Nabigo din si Zubiri na gampanan ang mandato nito nang isnabin nito ang dalawang reklamo na ipinarating sa kanyang opisina.

Inutusan ni Ombudsman Morales ang Secretary ng Department of the Interior and Local Government na ipatupad ang nasabing suspensyon.
