Ex Rep. Cagas, pinasasampahan ng panibagong graft case ng Ombudsman

Pinakakasuhan ng Ombudsman ng panibagong kasong graft si dating Davao del Sur Representative Marc Douglas Cagas IV kaugnay sa pork barrel scam.

Inutos ni Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales na kasuhan ang mambabatas ng dawang counts ng paglabag sa section 3-e ng Anti-graft and Corrupt Practices Act, isang count sa malversation at isa pa para sa malversation through falsification of public documents.

Ayon sa Ombudsman, ginamit ni Cagas ang anim na milyong piso sa kanyang PDAF sa umano’y ghost projects noong 2008.

Lumabas sa imbestigasyon na peke ang mga isinumiteng dokumento ng non-government organization na partner ng kongresista na Farmer Business Development Corporation at Technology Resource Center bilang implementing agency.

Wala umanong benipesyaryo ang nakatanggap sa training kits para sa nasabing proyekto ni Cagas.

Ilan pa sa mga akusadong nahaharap sa kaso ay sina project consultant Vanie Semillano, Antonio Ortiz, Dennis Cunanan, Maria Rosalinda Lacsamana, Marivic Jover, Consuelo Lilian Espiritu, Johanne Edward Labay, Arnolfo Reyes at Aileen Carrasco.
