Magsasagawa ng isa at kalahating oras na earthquake drill ngayong umaga sa Bonifacio Global City (BGC) sa Taguig City bilang bahagi ng nationwide simultaneous earthquake drill ng National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng Pilipinas.
Kabilang sa mga scenario na makikita sa earthquake drill ay ang paglilikas sa mga gusali, car collision, first aid treatment, sunog at looting sa mga establisyimento sa BGC.
Alas 9:00 ng umaga magsisimula ang earthquake drill pero kahapon na ng alas 12:00 ng tanghali ay sarado na ang kahabaan ng 5th Avenue sa BGC bilang paghahanda. Tatagal ang drill hanggang alas 10:30 ng umaga.
Dadaluhan nina Department of Defense (DND) Secretary Voltaire Gazmin, kinatawan mula sa Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano, at Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Assistant Secretary Vilma Cabrera ang nasabing earthquake drill.
Sa abiso naman ng management ng isa sa mga condominium building sa BGC, binigyan ng guidance ang mga unit owners para sa gagawing evacuation. Ayon sa advisory, ang lahat ng elevator sa Bonifacio Ridge Condominium ay hindi pagaganahin sa kasagsagan ng drill. “Please do not panic if you will be seeing or witnessing some rescue activities as it is part of the total scenario, Firefighting team, ambulance trucks and buses will be lined up in Global City streets, mock up victims will be given first aide and rescued. There will also be a looting scenario in the 5th avenue,” nakasaad sa abiso.
