Isa na namang masugid na taga-suporta ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang nabigyan ng posisyon.

Inanunsyo ng Malacañang na itinalaga ng pangulo bilang presidential adviser on economic affairs and information technology communications ang musikero at negosyanteng si Ramon “RJ” Jacinto.

Kilala si Jacinto bilang isang “rock and roll” musician na tumulong na mangalap ng suporta para kay Pangulong Duterte noong panahon ng kampanya sa pamamagitan ng pagsusulat ng kaniyang campaign jingle.

Bukod dito, negosyante rin si Jacinto na may-ari ng isang radio at TV station, pati ng isang kumpanyang may kinalaman sa real estate development, retail at manufacturing.

Ang pamilya Jacinto rin ang kilalang pioneer manufacturer ng galvanized iron sheets sa bansa.

Si Jacinto ang pinakabagong bigyan ng posisyon sa Duterte administration na mula sa entertainment industry.

Una nang pinangalanang assistant vice presidents sa PAGCOR sina Arnell Ignacio at Jimmy Bondoc, habang ang dati namang TV host at reporter na si Katherine de Castro ay isa nang Tourism undersecretary.

Napapabalita naman na ang umano’y pagtanggap ni Freddie Aguilar na pamunuan ang National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCAA).
