Palasyo hugas-kamay sa impeachment complaint laban kay VP Sara
Dumistansiya ang Malakanyang sa inihaing impeachment complaint laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte sa Kamara.
Sinabi ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin na malinaw naman na ang reklamo ay inisyatibo ng koalisyon ng mga pribadong grupo at indibiduwal.
“Its endorsement [is] the prerogative of any Member of the House of Representatives,” aniya.
Dagdag pa ni Bersamin: “The Office of the President has nothing to do with it. The President’s earlier statement on the matter is unambiguous.”
Matatandaan na unang nakiusap si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa mga mambabatas na huwag nang gumawa ng anumang hakbang para maalis sa posisyon si Duterte sa katuwiran na pag-aaksaya lamang ito ng panahon at hindi makatutulong sa bansa.
Kahapon, inihain ang reklamo at inendorso ito ni Akbayan Party-list Rep. Perci Cendaña sa Kamara.
Ibinase ito sa maaaring naging paglabag ni Duterte sa Saligang Batas, korapsyon, panunuhol, at betrayal of public trust dahil sa sinasabing maling paggasta niya umano ng pondo ng Office of the Vice President at Department of Education.
