Jinggoy humirit ng insentibo sa mga nagta-trabaho sa init
Nais ni Senator Jinggoy Estrada na magkaroon ng karagdagang insentibo o benepisyo ang mga manggagawa na patuloy na nagta-trabaho sa ilalim ng matinding init.
“Providing additional incentives or benefits to those who brave the heat to keep our economy running during weather disturbances is fair and shows our commitment to their well-being,” ayon sa inilabas na pahayag ng opisina ni Estrada.
Aniya dapat ay marepaso ang direktiba ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) ukol sa maaring hindi pagta-trabaho ng mga manggagawa dahil sa sobrang init ng panahon ngunit wala silang suweldo sa pagliban.
Nakasaad naman sa abiso na hindi din maaring maharap sa anumang kasong administratibo ang kawani na hindi magta-trabaho dahil sa init ng panahon.
“We cannot overlook the financial strain that this places on workers. Under the DOLE policy, allowing employees to utilize their accrued leave credits is a step in the right direction. But we must likewise consider those who no longer have sufficient leave balances. In this situation, I urge employers to exercise compassion and understanding during extreme weather conditions,” ani Estrada.
