Pro-environment group nabahala sa injectable skin-whitening products sa online stores

Ikinababahala ng EcoWaste Coalition ang pagbebenta ng mga injectable skin-lightening products sa online shopping sites.

Sinabi ni EcoWaste Coalition’s national coordinator Aileen Lucero lubhang nakakadismaya ang bentahan ng illegal gluta-IV drips maging ng mga  contraband cosmetics.

“We question the unchecked sale of clearly unapproved gluta-IV drips that flood online shopping sites as if these products have undergone assessment for quality and safety,” sabi ni Lucero sa inilabas na pahayag ng EcoWaste.

Nag-ugat ang pahayag ng grupo sa kontrobersiyal na pagsasailalim ng  intravenous (IV) drip session  sa Senado ni Mariel Rodrigue-Padilla, maybahay ni Sen. Robinhood Padilla.

Inulan ng mga puna at batikos ng netizens ang mag-asawang Padilla.

Inihayag ng Department of Health (DOH) na walang sapat na ebidensiya na ang injectable glutathione ay nakakapagpaputi ng balat ng tao.
