Amnestiya sa mga rebelde inendorso ni Sen. Jinggoy Estrada sa Senado
Inirekomenda ni Senator Jinggoy Estrada sa plenaryo ng Senado ang pag-apruba sa mga resolusyon na magbibigay ng amnesitiya sa mga miyembro ng rebeldeng grupo sa bansa.
Tinukoy ni Estrada ang House Concurrent Resolutions 19, 20, 21 at 22 kaugnay sa Presidential Proclamations 403, 404, 405 at 406, na nagbibigay amnestiya sa mga rebeldeng grupo sa bansa.
Sakop ng ibibigay na amnestiya ang Rebolusyonaryong Partido ng Manggagawa ng Pilipinas/Revolutionary Proletarian Army/Alex Boncayao Brigade (RPMP-RPA-ABB); ang Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF); Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF); at ang Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF).
Binanggit ng namumuno sa Senate Committee on Defense na magbibigay pagkakataon ang amnestiya sa mga rebelde para magbalik-loob sa gobyerno at ganap na makapag-bagong buhay.
“Amnesty will be the key to building a better and brighter future for themselves, their families, and their communities,” ani Estrada.
Ang amnestiya ay inirekomenda sa komite ni Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity Sec. Carlito Galvez, Jr.
