Nagsanib puwersa ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) at ang lokal na pamahalaan ng Maynila sa paglilinis sa ruta ng Traslacion ng Itim na Nazareno sa Martes, Enero 9.
Ayon kay MMDA acting Chairman Atty. Don Artes isinagawa ang clearning operation ng kanilang Special Operations Group-Strike Force at ng Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB).
Dagdag pa niya ginawa ang paglilinis para walang maging abala sa taunang prusisyon ng Itim na Nazareno.
“Clearing operations are part of the government’s preparations so that routes are passable and obstruction-free for the safety and security of the devotees that would participate in the procession,” ani Artes.
Inalis ang mga illegal parking na mga sasakyan sa ruta ng prusisyon, kabilang na ang naitalagang Mabuhay Lanes.
Kabuuang 58 sasakyan ang nahuli at 22 ang binatak dahil sa ilegal na pagparada.
