Amendments sa MIF naaayon sa batas ayon kay Finance chief Diokno
Naayon sa batas ang amendments sa Implementing Rules and Regulations sa Maharlika Investment Fund Act.
Ayon kay Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno, layunin ng amendments na mapalakas pa ang itatatag na korporasyon.
Partikular na tinukoy ni Diokno ang pagtiyak sa independence ng Board of Directors ng Maharlika Investment Corporation para makabuo ng mapagkakatiwalaang oversight and risk management bodies.
Ayon kay Diokno, napapanahon ang pagsasapinal sa IRR ng MIF sa harap ng interes ng local at international investors para sa kauna-unahang sovereign wealth fund ng Pilipinas.
Patunay din ito ayon kay Diokno ng commitment ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na maging operational ang MIF bago matapos ang taon.
“The enhancements introduced by the IRR are all within the bounds of the law, meant to give full meaning to the establishment of a strong corporate governance structure,” pahayag ni Diokno.
