Nagsumite na ng report kay Speaker Martin Romualdez ang Congressional Committee on Metro Manila Development (CMMD) kaugnay sa mga violations ng ride-hailing firm na Grab.
Base sa 14-pahinang report, sinabi ni CMMD chairman Rolando Valeriano na hindi pa nababayaran ng Grab ang multimillion-peso penalties sa gobyerno.
Binatikos din ni Valeriano ang umanoý back entry ng Grab sa motorcycle taxi “space” nang bilhin ang “Move It.”
Nais din ng CMMD na magsagawa ng motu proprio inquiry, in aid of legislation, kaugnay sa pagpasok ng Grab na solong player sa Transport Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) sa bansa sa MC taxi industry sa kabila ng mhga reklamo ng transport at commuter groups gaya ng Digital Pinoys, Lawyers for Commuters Safety and Protection (LCSP) at iba pa.
Base sa pilot study, binigyan ng permiso ng Department of Transportation ang tatlong MC taxi operators na Angkas, Joyride, at Move It na magsagawa ng provisional operation.
Pero nagulat ang lahat nang bilhin ng Grab ang Move It.
Matatandaang noong nakaraang linggo lamang, nagsagawa ng kilos protesta ang Grab delivery riders dahil sa hindi maayos na pasweldo ng kompanya.
