AFP: China ginamit bagong 10-dash line sa WPS harassment incident
Iginiit na ng People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) ang kanilang 10-dash line sa panibagong insidente sa resupply mission ng Philippine Navy sa Spratly Island noong nakaraang Biyernes.
Sa ulat ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), pinangunahan ng BRP Benguet ang resupply mission sa Rizal Reef Station nang tinangkang harangan sila ng Chinese vessel PLAN 621, 5.7 nautical miles Timog-Kanluran ng Pag-Asa Island.
Dumikit pa ng 350 yarda ang Chinese vessel kayat’t nag-radio challenge na ang BRP Benguet.
“The Philippine Naval ship received a counter-response from PLAN 621 using their so-called and patently baseless ‘ten-dash line’ narrative,” ayon sa AFP.
Kinondena ni AFP Western Command chief Vice Admiral Alberto Carlos ang pinakahuling harassment ng China sa loob ng exclusive economic zone (EEZ) ng Piipinas.
