Sen. JV Ejercito pabor sa dagdag pondo sa NBI, kampaniya vs cybercrimes
Isinusulong ni Deputy Majority Leader JV Ejercito na madagdagan ang pondo ng Office of Cybercrime ng Department of Justice sa susunod na taon.
Puna ni Ejercito kakarampot ang P475,000 para sa naturang opisina sa kabila nang napakaraming kaso ng online scams, hacking at iba pang krimen na naisasagawa sa pamamagitan ng internet.
Ginawa ito ng senador sa deliberasyon sa Senado ukol sa P34,486 proposed 2024 budget ng DOJ.
Nagpahayag din ng suporta si Ejercito na na madagdagan ang P175 million budget ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) para sa susunod na taon.
“I guess, these are the agencies that we really have to put confidential and intelligence funds [into], because this is a new enemy that we are facing right now,” aniya.
