Pag-aaral sa pagbibigay ng free college study suportado ni Sen. Pia Cayetano
Nagpahayag ng kanyang suporta si Senator Pie Cayetano sa posisyon nina Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno at Commission on Higher Education (ChEd) Chairman Prospero de Vera na pag-aralan ang free tertiary education program sa bansa.
Kailangan aniya ay kilalanin ang mga kurso na magiging prayoridad at magdudulot ng pag-unlad ng lipunan at ekonomiya.
Binanggit niya ang kakulangan ng healtcare professionals sa bansa hindi lamang ng mga doktor at nurse, kundi maging ng pharmacists, physical therapists, radiologic technologists, at iba.
Bukod pa dito aniya ay kailangan din ng suporta sa State Universities and Colleges para mapagbuti ang kanilang mga pasilidad at mapagbuti ang kanilang mga nagbabahagi ng edukasyon.
Kailangan din, dagdag pa ni Cayetano, ng mga mahuhusay na guro at teaching aides.
“We will continue supporting the financial assistance to students, but we need to prioritize the courses that would have a direct contribution to economic and social development. I believe that this is the most sensible, cost-efficient, and sustainable development model for our state tertiary education program,” ani Cayetano.
