P41 hanggang P45 na kilo ng bigas, epektibo sa Setyembre 5
Epektibo na sa Martes, Setyembre 5 ang price ceiling sa presyo ng bigas sa buong bansa.
Ito ay matapos aprubahan ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang Executive Order No. 39 na nagtatakda sa presyo ng bigas sa P41 kada kilo sa regular milled rice at P45 kada kilo sa well-milled rice.
Ayon kay Office of the Executive Secretary Undersecretary Leonardo Roy Cervantes, agad na magiging epektibo ang price ceiling oras na mailathala na ang EO sa mga pahayagan o national newspapers.
“The Office of the Executive Secretary also emphasized that any inquiry or complaint about the executive order can be coursed through the government’s 8888 Citizens’ Complaint Center,” pahayag ni Cervantes.
Matatandaang inaprubahan ni Pangulong Marcos ang rekomendasyon ng Department of Agriculture (DA) at Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) na magtakda ng presyo ng bigas sa gitna nang nakaalarmang pagtaas ng presyo nito sa mga palengke.
Inatasan din ng Pangulo ang DA at DTI na mahigpit na bantayan ang presyo ng bigas, bisitahin ang mga palengke, supermarkets at maging ang mga bodega na pinaghihinalaang sangkot sa hoarding, profiteering at iba pang illegal na aktibidad.
