Diplomatic protest itinapal sa 10-dash line claim ng China
Naghain na ng diplomatic protest ang pamahalaan ng Pilipinas laban sa China kaugnay sa inilabas na 10 dash line standard map sa South China Sea.
Sa pulong balitaan sa Malakanyang, sinabi ni DFA Office of Asean Affairs Asec. Daniel Espiritu hindi nagustuhan ng Pilipinas ang ginawa ng China.
“We already protested against that ‘no. Definitely we’re not in favor of that, we reject that and we continue to promote a peaceful settlement of disputes in that regard,” pahayag ni Espiritu.
Una nang sinabi ng DFA na ang hakbang ng China na gawing lehitimo ang kanilang sobereniya sa Philippine features at maritime zones ay walang basehan sa ilalim ng International Law, lalo na sa 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
Panawagan ng DFA sa China, maging responsible at sumunod sa obligasyon sa UNCLOS.
