Suspended MIAA chief, 1 official pinatalsik sa puwesto ng Ombudsman
Hindi na makakabalik sa puwesto si suspended Manila International Airport Authority acting General Manager Cesar Chiong matapos ipag-utos ng Office of the Ombudsman ang pagtatalsik sa kanya sa serbisyo.
Ito din ang naging kautusan ng Ombudsman kay MIAA acting Assistant General Manager Irene Montalbo.
Magugunita na ang dalawa ay sabay na sinuspindi noong nakaraang Mayo.
Napatunayan na ang dalawa ay guilty sa mga reklamong grave misconduct, abuse of authority or oppression, at conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service.
Nag-ugat ang mga reklamo laban sa dalawa sa pagpapalipat ng halos 300 MIAA employees sa unang buwan sa puwesto ni Chiong katuwang si Montalbo.
Ayon kay Ombudsman Samuel Martires lumabas na ang motibo sa “reassignments” ay hindi upang mapagbuti ang pagbibigay serbisyo sa publiko.
“A number of employees, if not all, were transferred to a division/department or designated to a position where they have no knowledge or experience and could not very well function in a manner that the said division /department needs or the position calls,” ani Martires.
