Simula noong 1880, ang nakalipas na buwan ng Hulyo ang maituturing na naging pinakamainit na buwan para sa buong mundo.
Base ito sa isinagawang pag-aaral ng Goddard Institute for Space Studies ng US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
“July 2023 was 0.43 degrees Fahrenheit (0.24 degrees Celsius) warmer than any other July in NASA’s record, and it was 2.1 degrees Fahrenheit (1.18 degrees Celsius) warmer than the average July between 1951 and 1980,” ayon sa pag-aaral.
Lumabas din sa bilyon-bilyong katao sa buong mundo ang literal na nakaramdam ng napakataas na temperatura.
Sinabi ni NASA Administrator Bill Nelson na ngayon ramdam ng mga mamamayan ng US ang climate crisis.
Bukod sa North America, naramdaman din ang mainit na temperatura sa South America, North Africa at Antartic Peninsula.
