Nasa P197. 84 bilyong pondo ang inilaan ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) sa Department of Agriculture (DA) para sa susunod na taon.
Ayon kay Budget Sec. Amenah Pangandaman, gagamitin ang pondo para sa food at water security. Mas mataas ito ng anim na porsiyento kumpara sa kasalukuyang budget na P186.54 bilyon. “In our quest for food security and proper nutrition for Filipino families, the FY 2024 NEP will continue to support programs that boost the local production of major agricultural commodities including rice, corn, and other high-value crops,” pahayag ni Pangandaman.
