Sumadsad ang isang decommissioned na barko ng Philippine Navy sa Sitio Crossing, Morong, Bataan.
Ayon sa Philippine Coast Guard, sumadsad ang BRP Lake Caliraya habang hinihatak patungo sa Zambales.
Gagamitin sana ang barko bilang mock target sa gagawing joint military exercise ng mga Amerikano at Filipinong sundalo.
Tatlong Filipinong sundalo na sakay ng barko ang na-stranded ngayon at nire-rescue ng PCG.
“According to the three crew members, the motor tanker, which had no stored fuel onboard, ran aground while under tow en route to Subic, Zambales. MT Lake Caliraya’s tow lines snapped due to strong waves, causing it to drift,” pahayag ng PCG.
Nakatakda sanang palubugin ng Philippine Marine Corps at United States Marine Corps ang barko kahapon sa maritime strike sa 12 nautical miles mula sa San Antonio, Zambales subalit kinansela dahil sa sama ng panahon.
