Tiniyak ni Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva na babantayan ng Senado kung matatamo ang layon ng SIM Registration Law na bawasan at labanan ang “cyber crimes.”
Hanggang sa darating na Hulyo 25 na lamang ang pagpaparehistro ng “activated SIM” at ang mga hindi maipaparehistro ay made-“deactivate.”
“Nonetheless, we urge the NTC, PNP, and other relevant agencies, as well as our partners in the private sector, to ramp up information campaigns on the various schemes used to trick our citizens into losing their hard-earned money,” ani Villanueva.
