Pinag-aaralan pa ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources ang impact ng Pasig River Expressway (PAREX).
Sa pulong balitaan sa Malakanyang, sinabi ni Environment Secretary Maria Antoniya Yulo Loyzaga na pinag-aaralan pa ng kanilang hanay ang environment compliance certificate ng naturang proyekto.
“So, what we’re trying to do is evaluate this issue called the cumulative impact and this is the same approach that we’re taking on the various ECCs that have been given in areas where there are multiple projects that are in a single ecosystem,” pahayag ni Loyzaga.
Sinabi ni Loyzaga na wala namang timeframe na ibinigay ang DENR para sa ECC.
Nabatid na ang kompanyang San Miguel Corporation ang magpopondo sa proyekto na aabot sa P95 bilyon.
Tinutulan na ito ng ibat ibang environmental group dahil sa epekto sa kalikasan.
