MPT – South nagsagawa ng basketball clinics kasama ang NLEX Road Warriors, CAVITEX Braves
Bilang suporta sa mga batang atleta ng ibat-ibang komunidad, nagsagawa ang Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South), ang concessionaire para sa Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), ng Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX), at ng C5 Link Segment, ng dalawang araw na basketball camp.
Sinuportahan ang programa ng NLEX Road Warriors (NRW) at CAVITEX Braves, ang professional basketball team ng NLEX Corp.
Isinagawa ang basketball clinics sa Cittadini School Gymnasium sa City of San Pedro , Laguna noong Hunyo 10 sa pakikipagtulungan sa La Marea Homeowners Association, at sa General Trias Sports Complex noong Hunyo 17, katuwang ang lokal na pamahalaan sa pamumuno ni Mayor Luis “Jon Jon” Ferrer at Board Member Maurito “Morit” Sison.
Nagkaroon ng pagkakataon ang mga batang atleta, may edad pito hanggang 15, na mapagbuti pa ang kanilang kaalaman sa paglalaro ng basketball mula sa mga turo ng mga players ng dalawang professional basketball teams, gayundin mula kay coach Ford Arao.
“We at MPT South recognize the importance of sport in promoting physical fitness and character-building for our youth. Hence, in partnership with NLEX Road Warriors and Cavitex Braves, the clinic aspires to provide an enjoyable environment where these kids can
learn basketball skills and develop character to help empower them on and off-court,” ani MPT South Vice President for Communication and Stakeholder Management, Arlette Capistrano.
Kinilala naman ng LGUs ang basketball clinics dahil sa positibong magagawa nito sa mga kabataan at komunidad.
