Pagbabago sa Maharlika Investment Fund bill maaring ituring na ilegal – Koko

Sinabi ni Senate Minority Leader Koko Pimentel na maaring maikunsiderang ilegal ang mga ginawang pagbabago sa Maharlika Investment Fund bill.

Itinuturing ng “enrolled bill” ang panukala matapos itong mapirmahan ni Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri at pirma na lamang ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., ang kailangan upang maging ganap na batas.

Sinabi ni Zubiri na naiwasto na ang mga pagkakamali sa panukala at ito ay masusing pinag-usapan ng mayorya sa Senado sa pamamagitan ng Viber, isang messaging app.

Ayon pa Zubiri, kalakip ng pinirmahan niyang kopya ng panukala ang “letter of correction” mula kay Sen. Mark Villar, ang pangunahing may-akda at sponsor ng panukalang batas.

Paliwanag naman ni Pimentel kuwestiyonable na ngayon ang integridad at pagiging ayon sa Saligang Batas ng bansa.

“The enrolled bill being sent to the president is not the version properly and formally approved by Congress. Mayroong provision diyan na ginalaw [There are provisions changed] without plenary authority,” diin ng senador.
