Pinalawak pa ng Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) ang coverage para sa mga pasyenteng sumasailalim sa hemodialysis.
Sa Laging Handa Public Briefing, sinabi ni PhilHealth Corporate Affairs Group Acting Vice President Rey Baleña na nasa P21 bilyong pondo ang inilaan para sa mga hemodialysis patients.
Sabi ni Baleña, nasa 156 sessions na ang sasaklawin ng Philhealth.
Batay aniya ito sa Philhealth Circular 2023-0009.
Sabi ni Baleña, P2,600 ang bayad kada session o P234,000 para sa 90 sessions.
Pero dahil sa bagong circular, nasa P405,600 ang laan na pondo para sa bawat pasyente na mayroong chronic kidney disease stage 5 (CKD5).
Sabi ng Philhealth, partner ng kanilang hanay ang Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) at Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).
