Sen. Joel Villanueva naitalagang caretaker ng Senado
Hanggang sa darating na Hunyo 15, si Majority Leader Joel Villanueva ang officer-in-charge ng Senado. Itinalaga siya ni Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri bilang “caretaker” ng Senado alinsunod na Special Order No. 2023-020 na may petsang Hunyo 1, 2023 alinsunod ito sa Rule IV ng Rules of the Senate. “Part of our role as Majority Leader is to step up when the leadership calls for it,” ani Villanueva. “Business as usual po tayo dito sa Senado kahit nag-adjourn na po tayo sine die nitong Miyerkules. Hindi po natatapos ang trabaho natin dito sa Senado. Our colleagues have expressed to continue conducting hearings during the break,” dagdag pa nito. Sa ngayon ay nasa sine die adjournment ang Kongreso at magbabalik ang sesyon sa pagsisimula ng 2nd Regular Session ng 19th Congress sa Hulyo 24.
