5 Filipino sa lumubog na Chinese fishing vessel patay na – PCG

Patay na ang limang Filipino na crew nang lumubog ang sinasakyang Chinese fishing vessel sa Indian Ocean.

Ito ay ayon sa ulat ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), 39 na crew ang nasawi nang lumubog ang  Lupeng Yuanyu 028.

Walang nabuhay sa 39 sakay ng naturang barko na kinabibilangan ng  17 Chinese, 17 Indonesian at ang limang Filipino.

Ang barko ay pag-aari ng Penglai Jinglu Fishery Co Ltd na nakabase sa  Shandong Province sa China.

Pitong bansa, Australia, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, the Maldives, at Pilipinas, ang nagsagawa ng search and rescue operations.

Nakikipag-ugnayan na ngayon ang PCG sa Chinese Embassy pati na sa Australian Maritime Rescue Center.
