Panamanian vessel na sumadsad sa Cebu, hindi pa rin naiaalis

Hindi pa rin naiaalis ang Panamanian cargo vessel na M/V Belle Rose na sumadsad sa Monad Shoal, sa Malapascua Island, Daanbantayan Cebu.

Ayon kay Coast Guard Commandant Rear Aadmiral William Melad, nakipag-ugnayan na ang MV Belle Rose sa sister ship nito upang maisagawa ang paglilipat ng may apatnapu’t walong libong tonelada ng semento na lulan ng barko.

Sinabi ni Melad na kumuha pa ng salvor upang mahatak ang sumadsad na barko.

Nagsagawa rin ng underwater hull inspection ang mga diver ng coast guard at nabatid na hindi nasira ang ilalim ng vessel kaya hindi inaasahang magkakaroon ng oil spill.

Tinatayang aabot sa 483 meters ng coral reef ang nawasak ng barko at sa gagawing imbestigasyon ng gobyerno posibleng papanagutin ang may-ari nito.

Nakatakda sanang magbaba ng semento ang MV Belle Rose sa San Fernando port sa Naga Cebu nang nagana pang insidente.
