DOT: Vaxx card, masks hindi na requirement sa tourist spots

Sa pagbubukas na ng husto ng tourist spots ngayon summer, hindi na kinakailangan pa na magpakita ng vaccination card at magsuot ng mask, ayon sa Department of Tourism (DOT).

Inilabas ng kagawaran ang MC 2023-0002 para sa mas maluwag na safety guidelines sa operasyon ng ‘tourism establishments.’

Paliwanag ni Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco ang memorandum circular ay kasunod ng mga ginawang noong nakaraang taon partikular na ang pagsuporta sa sektor ng turismo na makabangon mula sa epekto ng pandemya.

“This latest issuance on the relaxed health and safety guidelines for tourism establishments reinforces the Department of Tourism’s commitment towards addressing the economic hardships of the tourism industry brought about by the lockdowns and restrictions of the pandemic,” ani Garcia-Frasco.

Sinabi ng kalihim na bukas na ang turismo ng bansa at kasabay nito ay ang pagsunod sa mga ginagawa sa buong mundo sa industriya ng turismo.

Noong nakaraang taon, may mga inilabas ng gabay ang DOT sa pamamagitan ng Office of Tourism Standards and Regulation (OTSR) kasunod ng pagpapalabas ng Executive Order No. 7, para sa boluntaryong pagsusuot na lamang ng mask.
