Diplomatic protest vs China inihain ng Pilipinas

Panibagong diplomatic protest ang inihain ng Pilipinas laban sa China kaugnay sa paggamit ng military-grade laser light ng Chinese Coast Guard (CCG) laban sa Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

Ipinadala ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) ang diplomatic protest sa Chinese Embassy.

Kinondena ng DFA ang “shadowing, harassment, dangerous maneuvers, directing of military-grade laser, at illegal radio challenges” na ginawa ng CCG vessel 5205 sa PCG vessel BRP Malapascua noong Pebrero 6.

Idiniin pa ng DFA na ang ginawa ng CCG ay banta sa sobereniya at seguridad ng Pilipinas.

“The Philippines has the prerogative to conduct legitimate activities within its exclusive economic zone and continental shelf. China does not have law enforcement rights or powers in and around Ayungin Shoal or any part of the Philippine EEZ,” ani DFA spokesperson Ma. Teresita Daza.

Nagpahayag din ng pagkadismaya ang kagawaran sa insidente dahil nangyari ito matapos ang pagbisita ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., sa China.

Nakipagkasundo pa sa kanya si Chinese President Xi Jinping na reresolbahin sa maayos na pamamaraan ang agawan ng teritoryo sa West Philippine Sea.
