P151 bilyong pondo sa social protection service ng DSWD, inilaan ng DBM

Aabot sa P151 bilyong pondo sa 2023 National Budget ang inilaan ng Department of Budget and Management para sa social protection service program ng Department of Social Welfare and Development.

Ayon kay Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, tulong ito para sa mga mahihirap na Filipino.

“The mandate of President Bongbong Marcos is clear— for the government to ensure that no Filipino will be left behind. Alam din po namin na ang mga social assistance programs na kagaya nito ay nagsisilbing sandalan ng mga kababayan nating lubos na nangangailangan. And for these, the DBM will exert its utmost to make sure that these programs are funded,” pahayag ni Pangandaman.

Kabilang sa mga major social protection services ng DSWD ang Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP), Protective Services for Individuals and Families in Difficult Circumstances (PSIFDC) at Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

Sa naturang pondo, P6.46 bilyon ang nakalaan sa SLP na nagbibigay ng livelihood support.

Nasa P5.2 bilyon ang laan sa SFP at P36.82 bilyon ang laan sa PSIFDC.

Pinakamalaking pondo naman ang nakalaan sa 4Ps na nasa P102.61 bilyon.
