Tumaas na ang kontribusyon ng mga miyembro sa Social Security System (SSS).
Mula sa dating 13 porsiyento, 14 porsiyento na ngayon ang singil para sa pension fund ng mga nasa pribadong sektor.
Ang mga employer ang babalikat ng karagdagang isang porsiyento para sa 9.5 porsiyento bahagi ng kontribusyon at 4.5 naman sa mga miyembro.
“Under existing tax laws, employers would be allowed to deduct their share of the contribution hike from their taxable income,” ani SSS President at Chief Executive Officer Rolando Macasaet said.
Dagdag pa niya; “This underscores a whole-of-nation approach in securing the future of our workers with the Philippine government also contributing in the form of tax relief to employers.”
Ang dagdag sa kontribusyon ay alinsunod sa mga probisyon sa Republic Act 11199 o ang Social Security Act of 2018.
Ang kada dalawang taon na pagtaas ay hanggang 2025, kung kailan ay aabot na sang 15 porsiyento ang kontribusyon.
