Pumanaw na si Bishop Emeritus Benjamin Almoneda ng Diocese of Daet, Camarines Norte sae dad na 92.
Ayon sa ulat ng Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines, pumanaw si Almoneda kahapon, Enero 6, kasabay ng kanyang ika-33 anibersaryo ng ordinasyon sa pagka-pari.
Naordinahan si Almoneda noong 1958.
Nagsilbi si Almoneda bilang spiritual director, rectorat parish priest sa ibat ibang simbahan sa Archdiocese of Caceres.
Nagsilbi rin si Almoneda bilang rector ng Pontificio Collegio Filipino sa Rome, Italy.
Naitalaga si Almoneda bilang auxiliary bishop ng Daet noong 1989.
